Don’t be fooled. Wizard golf isn’t like your normal mini golf. Each hole at The Hole in Wand has its own story and riddle.
At Dalton Park, it has been discovered that dragon eggs are disappearing across the land! If the potion makers run out of dragon eggs, it could mean the extinction of Wizarding Golf.
As a brave witch or wizard, your job is to try to solve the mystery.
Along the way, you’ll discover magical talking portraits, a mysterious lake, a creepy castle and a chance to explore the hidden magic of County Durham.
Have you got what it takes?

Portraits of legendary beasts dance around you in the firelight. Which of these legendary creatures has been stealing dragons eggs and, more importantly, why? As you ponder this question, send your dragon egg between the stacks of books and up into the hole in front of the fireplace. Hopefully some of this ancient knowledge will help you on your quest!

Welcome to the Potion’s Cauldron! Place your dragon egg into the hole in the face of the right hand cabinet and watch as it rolls down the chute, dipping into the cauldron and onto the floor. Wherever it comes to rest is where you must play your shot from. But watch out! It looks like the Potion Master has muddled their mixture with disastrous consequences!

You are transported to the dark and mysterious waters of Bolam Lake! The forest around you is alive with creatures of the night and the shadow of a mermaid lurks in the murky depths, trapped here for eternity by the powerful Warlock of Lumley Castle! Step up onto the jetty and putt your dragon egg into the first hole - it will pop into the lake so make sure you pot it into the golden whirlpool quickly before something snatches it away!

Upon entering the castle, you are greeted by ghostly apparitions in the darkness! They have all been scared to death by the Beast of Bolam as it rampaged through the castle corridors. Send your dragon egg down the carpet and into the hole but stay on your guard, the Beast might still be around here somewhere!

As you leave the castle, terrifying footprints lead away from you into the distance… The beast came through here, causing destruction on his way! But who’s cabin has the beast put a big hole in? Putt your egg towards the treasure chest and try to avoid getting trapped by the footprints, or worse!

As you emerge from the cabin, the towering structure of the Penshaw Hill Monument looms above you. There is no sight of the worm, it must have found a secret way inside! Putt your dragon egg around the base of the pillars and into the hole cup to continue on your quest.

As soon as your egg goes down the hole, an opening into the hillside appears before you! As you peer into the blackness, you can see a dark and murky mine-like tunnel descending away into the depths. Other creatures are here as well but they are strangely still… Putt your egg down the tunnel and watch out, the ground down here is uneven!

The fairy tunnel opens out into an ethereal underground lagoon. A figure sits motionless on a rock in front of you - it’s the mermaid again! The worm must have caught sight of her as she emerged from the water. Putt your egg around her rock and into the golden whirlpool but keep your wits about you; there are strange noises coming from a passage nearby…

Suddenly you find yourself face-to-face with the writhing form of the Lambton Worm! It has slithered straight into the Lair of the Basilisk and you are caught in the middle of an epic battle! But who will win and who will be turned to stone first?! Step up to the tee and finish the worm off by shooting your egg up the ramp and under its snakey chin!
